Is their a scripture that actually tells us what "face" or symbol was on the flags of each tribe of Israel? (Ex: Judah was the lion..) I believe in Ezekiel it mentions the four faces that surround the throne of God, one of an ox, one an eagle, one a man and the other a lion. I'm just curious to know and wonder if throughout history we have been left a remnant (from Europe post bondage to the assyrian, pre America) to know which tribes we come from generally, as far as maybe symbols on family crests or country flags..?

In * Num.2:2 The LORD is saying that the tribes are to have these standards (flags) to represent them. As to biblical support for each of these symbols most are picked up again in * Num.2:10-....

* Eze.1 where we are reading of the four "creatures"  (vs.5), we also understand much being said within the many layers, yet these 4 are not only symbolic or "flags".

H2416  Chay/ khah'ee

alive; hence raw (flesh); fresh (plant, water, year), strong; also (as noun, especially in the feminine singular and masculine plural) life (or living thing), whether literally or figuratively: - + age, alive, appetite, (wild) beast, company, congregation, life (-time), live (-ly), living (creature, thing), maintenance, + merry, multitude, + (be) old, quick, raw, running, springing, troop.

Appendix 41 of the companion bible: "they cant not be Merely symbols for though symbolic and emblematic representations of them were allowed to be made they themselves are not symbolic.

Appendix 41 goes on to make some as well like the responciblity being exspressed of these 4 being to guard, keep, and protect the mercy seat. The camp of Israel representing this the holy of holies was in the middle of the camp and the four tribes closest to it (North,S.,E.,W.) have the symbols mentioned.

 1) Dan to the North was represented by an Eagle 2) To the South was Reuben which was represented by the face of a man 3) Lion of Judah to the East 4) West was Ephraim the Ox

As for the symbols carring on to the symbology found in the standards (flags) of modern nations i suggest * Dan.7!!!.

I havent studied the family crests enough to know exactly what symbolizim may by there.

I'm new. This is where my focus is the two tribes, Ezekiel 37, valley of the dry bones, restoration of the two houses, the Great Awakening, the Precious Ones............God has given me a prophetic work that is symbolic of all this. Since Jan of 2011 I began posting the Revelations that came through doing the work, though few listen, I still share what he is saying..................I have looked for like minded people for a long time, more so when he showed me we need to share what we have learned in the Secret Place join forces etc...  "It's coming"........

"Ezekiel 37, valley of the dry bones, restoration of the two houses (& two "candelsticks") , the Great Awakening, .." Amen
