Random thoughts in Revelation

Shabbat,

Rereading Revelation based on recent chatter regarding the signs in Revelation 12 and the date of September 23rd coming up.

I recently acquired a copy of George Lamsa’s Aramaic to English Bible and had already found some astounding things, so reading Revelation in that translation.

As I was reading about the fours beasts in chapter 4 that are in the presence of God, then the subsequent description of the four horsemen in chapter 6, something occurred to me to line up:

Rev 4:7  And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

Rev 4:7          Lion

                        Calf

                        Man

                        Eagle

We know that each of these animals represent the four tribal leaders of Israel:

Judah

Ephraim

Rueben

Dan

So, we have:  Lion – Judah

                        Calf – Ephraim

                        Man – Rueben

                        Eagle - Dan

In Revelation chapter 6:

Rev 6:1  And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

Rev 6:2  And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Rev 6:2  AndG2532 I saw,G1492 andG2532 beholdG2400 a whiteG3022 horse:G2462 andG2532 he that satG2521 onG1909 himG846 hadG2192 a bow;G5115 andG2532 a crownG4735 was givenG1325 unto him:G846 andG2532 he went forthG1831 conquering,G3528 andG2532 toG2443 conquer.G3528

G3022  a whiteG3022

λευκός

leukos

lyoo-kos'

From λύκη lukē (“light”); white: - white.

G4735   a crownG4735

στέφανος

stephanos

stef'-an-os

From an apparently primary “stepho” (to twine or wreathe); a chaplet (as a badge of royalty, a prize in the public games or a symbol of honor generally; but more conspicuous and elaborate than the simple fillet, G1238), literally or figuratively: - crown.

There are two schools of thought on the white horse. It is either the antichrist, or it is Jesus. So, who would get a crown, Jesus or the antichrist? Jesus conquered death and we who believe on Him overcome death through Him. But we look at the actual Greek word “nikao”and we find a variant which could be part of the “Nicolaitans” which Jesus hates. Then, nothing definitive leaving us with both schools of thought.

G3528  conquering,G3528So,

νικάω

nikaō

nik-ah'-o

From G3529; to subdue (literally or figuratively): - conquer, overcome, prevail, get the victory.

Rev 6:3  And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.

Rev 6:4  And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

Rev 6:4  AndG2532 there went outG1831 anotherG243 horseG2462 that was red:G4450 andG2532 power was givenG1325 to himG846 that satG2521 thereonG1909 G846 to takeG2983 peaceG1515 fromG575 theG3588 earth,G1093 andG2532 thatG2443 they should killG4969 one another:G240 andG2532 there was givenG1325 unto himG846 a greatG3173 sword.G3162

G4450  red:G4450

πυῤῥός

purrhos

poor-hros'

From G4442; fire like, that is, (specifically) flame colored: - red.

While G4450 is the word shown in the Strong’s, many of the definitions that are prior to it also refer to fire, but the one listed AFTER it (G4451), seems to be a more likely fit when we consider that the white horse and rider are Jesus, and after He came, then trials and tribulations came. I feel as if we could look at the four horsemen as being ages or times of years as in hundreds of years of troubles since His death and resurrection, yet also to be considered times that will take place as shorter spans in the last days.

G4451

πύρωσις

purōsis

poo'-ro-sis

From G4448; ignition, that is, (specifically) smelting (figuratively conflagration, calamity as a test): - burning, trial.

Rev 6:5  And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

Rev 6:5  AndG2532 whenG3753 he had openedG455 theG3588 thirdG5154 seal,G4973 I heardG191 theG3588 thirdG5154 beastG2226 say,G3004 ComeG2064 andG2532 see.G991 AndG2532 I beheld,G1492 andG2532 loG2400 a blackG3189 horse;G2462 andG2532 he that satG2521 onG1909 himG846 hadG2192 a pair of balancesG2218 inG1722 hisG848 hand.G5495

G3189  a blackG3189

μέλας

melas

mel'-as

Apparently a primary word; black: - black.

Again, looking at the words surrounding this one in Strong’s, we find this:

G3190

Μελεᾶς

Meleas

mel-eh-as'

Of uncertain origin; Meleas, an Israelite: - Meleas.

Now, before I even found the above G3190, (I saw this word, G3190 and thought about his daughter’s name “Malia”) as I was comparing side by side, the four beasts, the Israelite tribes they identify with and then the colors of the four horses, I saw this:

Rev 6:2

White – Lion (Judah)

Red – Calf  (Ephraim) (Does the Red Heifer have anything to do with this???)

Black – Man  (Reuben)

Green – Eagle (Dan)

DISCLAIMER -  I am not saying that all of the tribe of Reuben is black or that any are, it just jumped out when lined up like this. Thoughts just went down that path especially in light of what the black horse brought in the way of inflated prices for things we purchase.

The Black Man (I immediately thought of B.O.) then consider the words of the rest of those verses:

Rev 6:5  And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

Rev 6:6  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

We know that in the year of his election and from that point on, prices of goods went up significantly. Can we see this in those verses?

Rev 6:5  AndG2532 whenG3753 he had openedG455 theG3588 thirdG5154 seal,G4973 I heardG191 theG3588 thirdG5154 beastG2226 say,G3004 ComeG2064 andG2532 see.G991 AndG2532 I beheld,G1492 andG2532 loG2400 a blackG3189 horse;G2462 andG2532 he that satG2521 onG1909 himG846 hadG2192 a pair of balancesG2218 inG1722 hisG848 hand.G5495

G2218  a pair of balancesG2218

ζυγός

zugos

dzoo-gos'

From the root of ζεύγνυμι zeugnumi (to join, especially by a “yoke”); a coupling, that is, (figuratively) servitude (a law or obligation); also (literally) the beam of the balance (as connecting the scales): - pair of balances, yoke.

THIS WORD below, is found listed next to the one that Strong’s shows as being the word shown, and the spelling is so very close, and the definition could very well apply also.

G2217

ζόφος

zophos

dzof'-os

Akin to the base of G3509; gloom (as shrouding like a cloud): - blackness, darkness, mist.

Rev 6:5  AndG2532 whenG3753 he had openedG455 theG3588 thirdG5154 seal,G4973 I heardG191 theG3588 thirdG5154 beastG2226 say,G3004 ComeG2064 andG2532 see.G991 AndG2532 I beheld,G1492 andG2532 loG2400 a blackG3189 horse;G2462 andG2532 he that satG2521 onG1909 himG846 hadG2192 a pair of balancesG2218 inG1722 hisG848 hand.G5495

hand.G5495 –  This word would infer his position in power over a nation:

G5495  hand.G5495

χείρ

cheir

khire

Perhaps from the base of G5494 in the sense of its congener the base of G5490 (through the idea of hollowness for grasping); the hand (literally or figuratively [power]; especially [by Hebraism] a means or instrument): - hand.

Rev 6:6  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

Rev 6:7  And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

Rev 6:8  And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Rev 6:8  AndG2532 I looked,G1492 andG2532 beholdG2400 a paleG5515 horse:G2462 andG2532 hisG846 nameG3686 that satG2521 onG1883 himG846 was Death,G2288 andG2532 HellG86 followedG190 withG3326 him.G846 AndG2532 powerG1849 was givenG1325 unto themG846 overG1909 theG3588 fourth partG5067 of theG3588 earth,G1093 to killG615 withG1722 sword,G4501 andG2532 withG1722 hunger,G3042 andG2532 withG1722 death,G2288 andG2532 withG5259 theG3588 beastsG2342 of theG3588 earth.G1093

Now, here is where things get interesting in light of the number of the beast.

G5515  paleG5515

χλωρός

chlōros

khlo-ros'

From the same as G5514; greenish, that is, verdant, dun-colored: - green, pale.

Pale, greenish, verdant, these don’t make much sense unless you consider the color of certain middle eastern radical ter-ror-ist groups. Let’s look further into the WORD TRAILS:

G5514

Χλόη

Chloē

khlo'-ay

Feminine of apparently a primary word; “green”; Chloe, a Christian female: - Chloe.

A Christian female, doesn’t make much sense either.

Let’s look more to the surrounding words found in Strong’s, specifically the word listed directly AFTER:

G5516

χξς

chi xi stigma

khee xee stig'-ma

The 22nd, 14th and an obsolete letter (G4742 as a cross) of the Greek alphabet (intermediate between the 5th and 6th), used as numbers; denoting respectively 600, 60 and 6; 666 as a numeral: - six hundred threescore and six.

G4742

στίγμα

stigma

stig'-mah

From a primary word στίζω stizō (to “stick”, that is, prick); a mark incised or punched (for recognition of ownership), that is, (figuratively) scar of service: - mark.

So, we can see there is a direct connection with the fourth horse and the mark of the beast and the number of his name.

Consider also this part of the definition of the above word G4742 “stigma”:

From a primary word στίζω stizō (to “stick”, that is, prick);

to “stick”, that is, prick);

MAKE NO MISTAKE. Vaccinations apply to this definition.

Vaccines, or more correctly injecting the chip is how it is given. Chip implants are adminsitered through an injection.
