Paul demonstrated the importance of knowing the Different uses of the term "Jew". There are three basic uses of the term "Jew",
1/Physical Line: One who is of the tribe (descendants) of Judah (Many like to stereotype all members of all the tribes of Israel as Jews as well yet all these tribes were known by their own tribal titles) King Line/ Paul himself was a Benjamite Rom.11:1
2/Geographical: One who resides in Judea (or during times of two captials those who embraced King of Jerusalem as King and Jerusalem as the captial of Israel)
*The Tares have often used this use of the term "Jew" to infultrate the kingdom of Israel. Its important to note that Each tribe was given its own territory except for The Levites (Priest Line). The Levities were known to dwell throughout the territories yet YHVH was their inheritance the Levitiacl priests served in the territory of Judah and thus were considered Jews by this context.
Paul did reside in Judea (or territory of Judah /often)
3/Faith (or religion): Anyone who embraces The Word of God, Torah ( Tanauch,... Gen. through Rev,...) or according to some, One who embraces "rabbinical Judaism"(there is evidence that modern day "Judaisim" branched off from the faith of Israel around the same time as "Christianity" came about (in the first century).
Paul observed all that was revealed in truth to Israel. He went to synagoge on Shabbat (Sat) Acts 17:1-2. He read and encouraged others to read Tanach (the OT) 1 Tim.4:13. Remember the written word in the days of Paul was the OT (Tanakh) including Torah. He taught that all scripture is for edification 2 Tim.3:16-17/ Acts 26:22-23. He lived observing Torah (Acts 25:8/ Acts 28:17) and encouraged others to do the same 2 Tim 3:15/ Rom.15:4/ (relating it to the goyim as well Rom.3:1-2/ Rom.1:16/ Rom.2:9-10). Paul quoted Tanach (1 Cor.2:9 compare Is.64:4)
______________
Saul was a free born Roman (born as citizen of Rome). However Saul was a Israelite who embraced The Faith as a member of the tribe of Benjamin (Rom.11:1) who often resided in the territory of Judah. Paul used these contexts to work the Roman soiders into a corner by Roman Law! He made it know openly that he was a "Jew" (Acts 21:39/ geographical) (Israelite who embraces Judaism) Acts 22:3 and yet when the Roman soilders went to scorge him he made it clear that he was also a free born Roman (Acts.22:27-29!which was according to Roman law of higher stature than one who gains Roman citizenship! and it was unlawful for a Roman to treat a fellow Roman the way Paul had been treated by soilders that were perhaps lower in Roman status than Paul himself. (A Roman, Jew, and Benjamite!)
Paul was a expert of the Law in all layers! Acts 22/ Rom.11:1
Paul was of the Netzarim - Acts.24:5 / vs.14 However, I admit that I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect.I believe everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets

Many that lack understanding in the harmony of the many layers of the Word tend to slander Paul and Christianity based on their own ignorance and or hate.
Many attempt to make the claim that Paul in his fruits (in the name of God) was a deciever (liar) based on their ignorance and cherry picking of:
Rom.3:4, 7
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
...... throwing out all surrounding scriptures and the context thereof.
* Gal.2:19 “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God." (Same message)
_____
Rom 2 speaks of the purpose of the law like Rom.7:7 and Gal.3:24. This is throughout the Tanach(O.T.) as well. The fact is all sin (miss the mark/ Rom.3:11-12/ Rom.3:23), and by the Law we gain knowledge of sin (transgressing God's Law) and of righteousness (that which is Holy -* Rom.7:7/ Rom.3:21/ Gal.3:24). Its also a basic concept throughout The Word that there is an effect for sin and sinners have need for atonement.
____
Look at these two verses, what do they say?
let God be true, but every man a liar; (untrue)
Is man in perfection seperate from God? NO
For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
____
through- en -
A primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), that is, a relation of rest (intermediate between
G1519 and G1537); "in", at, (up-) on, by, etc.: - about, after, against, + almost, X altogether, among, X as, at, before, between, (here-) by (+ all means), for (. . . sake of), + give self wholly to, (here-) in (-to, -wardly), X mightily, (because) of, (up-) on, [open-] ly, X outwardly, one, X quickly, X shortly, [speedi-] ly, X that, X there (-in, -on), through (-out), (un-) to(-ward), under, when, where (-with), while, with (-in). Often used in compounds, with substantially the same import; rarely with verbs of motion, and then not to indicate direction, except (elliptically) by a separate (and different) prep.
____
So after we have come to the knowledge of sin (God abounding/ intercession) why are we also judged as sinners? (compare to vs.5)
_____
So if we transgress (be found to be untrue/ unclean) and yet by the Glory of God recieve His intercession and atonement that covers our sin should we still be punished for the transgression?????????????? That is what Paul is saying and asking! The answer is NO, the price is payed in the intercession of Our LORD. (Rom.2:28-29)
This message can be compared back to that of our infirmities and how when we are weak He is strong!
Paul taught on many levels and his sayings are hard to understand without spiritual eyes and ears
2 Pet.3:15-17 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

Paul (& those with him) were struck down on the road to Damascus. They all heard a sound (voice) but only Paul was able to distinguish the words (message).
- Acts 9:7 And the men which journeyed with him stood (G#2476) speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
- Acts 22:9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.
- Acts 26:14 And when we (G#22:57) were all(G#3956) fallen (G#2667) to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
Acts 9:7 they heard the voice (sound) but didnt distinguish the Words spoken (much like Jn 8 speaks about/ example non believers hear but dont understand the Words of G-d cause they are not of God. Kindda like all the muslims that recite quranic verses but dont understand arabic or what they are reciting.) Compare to Acts 22:9 where they heard not the voice. As far as Acts 26:14 "fallen down" yet look at Acts 9:7 again where it says "stood speechless" The term is histēmi and does not strictly mean to literally "Stand" they stod "Speechless" thus stood relates to the reality of them being speechless look at the Greek definition it INCLUDES to LAY - to stand (transitively or intransitively), used in various applications (literally or figuratively): - abide, appoint, bring, continue, covenant, establish, hold up, lay, present, set (up), stanch, stand (by, forth, still, up).
Paul was a pharisee Acts 23:6, 26:5, Phil.3:5
_________Paul observed and taught Torah__________
“Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all that has been written in the book of the (Law) Torah, to do them.” Paul wrote that. (Gal.3:10)
We have all crossed paths with those who fail to comprehend verses like:
* Eph.2:15 /
Lets look at Eph.2:13-18 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;*15 Having , abolished in his flesh the enmity even the law of commandments contained in *ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
(One that understands this sees that its simpley saying that In Yeshua we Can fulfill Torah even when we have transgressed it through Atonement!!!/ The same concept as in Rom.3:7 for those who have Spiritual eyes and ears!)
The "ordinances" that were against us where the cheirographon ( handwritten certificate of *debt for breaking the Law), or the Titulus, a list of crimes placed above the heads of criminals. Not the Torah.
Paul accepted and approved by Peter, James, John and Luke as an Apostel of Christ.
Acts 9:15 (26:16; 22:14,15) Luke records that Jesus endorsed Paul.
2 Pet.3:15,16 Peter classifies Paul's writtings with Other Scripture.
Gal.2:7-9 Acts 15:22-32 other apostels confirmed Paul's claim to be inspired
Acts 13:1-4 luke records the Holy Spirit recognizes Paul as one called.
Acts 19:13-16 demons acknowledge both Christ and Paul having authority.
Paul said regarding the Apostles of Christ, “These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches” (1 Cor. 2:13)....

.... Paul was a Nazarene of The NETZERim ....
Acts 24 (critics within Jewish Sects accused Paul of sedition cause his credentials spoke for themselves he was orthodox and studied among many highly regarded Men of the Torah and yet many don’t want to respect him, condemning Paul while insulting the Nazarenes (The Way) They call “a sect” )
Acts 24 Vs. 5 For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes
vs.14 However, I admit that I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect.I believe everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets.
..... Denominations (divisions) would love to bring the netzarim down to a denominational concept that allows them level the playing field. The Way is Yeshua (The netzer)
26:5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our greligion I lived a Pharisee.
Paul was an Expert at the law, he often executed the author active action on those condemned amount the experts of the law even killing. A man that believes and understands The Gospel among their ranks.
“Nazarenes”and “Jewish followers of Yeshua HaMashiach “ were persecuted by the “rabbinic” community during and after the 1st advent. There was even a prayer designed to weave them out based on the critics ignorance of The Way (Moshiach). Synagogues wouldn’t only not allow any talmudim of Yeshua within their walls they would mark them and even perhaps send out the ultimate price.
Acts 24:6-9 Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.
7 But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
8 Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.
9 And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.
Acts 26
Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:
3 Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:
7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
9 I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.
12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
21 For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
Act_25:8 while Sha’ul said in his own defence, “Neither against the Torah of the Yehuḏim, nor against the Set-apart Place, nor against Caesar did I commit any sin.”
Some have claimed the following shows how"Christ prophesied about Paul to his disciples" ("in advance") if "The Acts and Epistles of the Apostles" was completed in "1564". Anyway here is such a claim I came across.
==================================================
The Acts and the Epistles of the Apostles 31
31 And behold a man shall meet you, whose name is Saul, which being interpreted is Paul: he is a Jew, circumcised according to the law, and he shall receive my voice from heaven with fear and terror and trembling. And his eyes shall be blinded, and by your hands by the sign of the cross shall they be protected (healed: other Eth. MSS. with spittle by your hands shall his eyes, &c.). Do ye unto him all that I have done unto you. Deliver it (? the word of God) unto the other. And at the same time that man shall open his eyes and praise the Lord, even my Father which is in heaven. He shall obtain power among the people and shall preach and instruct; and many that hear him shall obtain glory and be redeemed. But thereafter shall men be wroth with him and deliver him into the hands of his enemies, and he shall bear witness before kings that are mortal, and his end shall be that he shall turn unto me, whereas he persecuted me at the first. He shall preach and teach and abide with the elect, as a chosen vessel and a wall that shall not be overthrown, yea, the last of the last shall become a preacher unto the Gentiles, made perfect by the will of my Father. Like as ye have learned from the Scripture that your fathers the prophets spake of me, and in me it is indeed fulfilled.
And he said unto us: Be ye also therefore guides unto them; and all things that I said unto you, and that ye write concerning me (tell ye them), that I am the word of the Father and that the Father is in me. Such also shall ye be unto that man, as becometh you. Instruct him and bring to his mind that which is spoken of me in the Scripture and is fulfilled, and thereafter shall he become the salvation of the Gentiles
..... A response to critics....
The gospel is throughout the Word from beginning to end. The first Word of Torah declares the gospel of Yeshua (which i breakdown below). Anyways some like to say that Paul had his own gospel rather than his own ministry of the gospel. I have also met those who say the gospel wasn't revealed until Paul (showing gross ignorance). How people come up with this type doctrine i do not know but perhaps by *Using an area where Paul is speaking about his ministry and how it was used to communicate The Gospel to *the *nations (people who had not heard or known the Gospel) Who is Paul speaking to? You must remember that Israel is the light unto the nations and Paul is a member of Israel. Yeshua was sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel (after the cross redeemed members of Israel were sent to the nations with the gospel). /
Rom.16:25-17 Now to him that is of power to stablish you (WHO is he speaking to?) according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret (sigaō***silent**/to who) since the world began,26 But now is made manifest, and *by *the *scriptures *of *the *prophets (that would be the Jewish Tanakh), according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to *all *nations for the obedience of faith:27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen."/ Compare to Acts.15:12 Then all the multitude kept *silence (*sigaō), and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the *Gentiles *by *them./ 1 Cor.14:28,30,34 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence (sigaō) in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. Let your women keep silence (sigaō) in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law... (Heb.4:2)
Barashet- is the first word of Torah translated as "In the beginning". Each Hebrew letter is represented by a symbol which has its own meaning. When you break down the word Barashet by the meanings of each letter you see the gospel was present at creation!
Bet- house, tent, family
Resh- mans head, first, highest,..
(Bet and Resh together form Bar which is the Hebrew Word for "Son of" without seperation, with seperation it still means head of house or first of the house)
Aleph- ox symbol (bull/head)- first, ultimate strength, G-d, power
Shin- teeth- to destroy or consume
Yod- - arm/ hand- work / effort/ power
Tav- a cross- mark of the covenant, sign , signal
Thus the message is: "The Son of G-D, will be destroyed (or killed) by his own hand on a cross!
Islamic sources admit Paul (Bulus)as a disciple of Jesus: "
"(so We reinforced them with a third,) means, `We supported and strengthened them with a third Messenger. ' Ibn Jurayj narrated from Wahb bin Sulayman, from Shu`ayb Al-Jaba'i, "The names of the first two Messengers were Sham`un and Yuhanna, and the name of the third was Bulus, and the city was Antioch (Antakiyah)."... Yet so many muslims ignorantly attack Paul..... "This was the view of Abu Al-`Aliyah. Qatadah bin Di`amah claimed that they weremessengers of the Messiah, peace be upon him, sent to the people of Antioch."/
Al-Qurtubi, says of Surah 61:14: It was said that THIS VERSE was revealed about the apostles of Jesus, may peace and blessing be upon him. Ibn Ishaq stated that of the apostles and disciples that Jesus sent (to preach) there were Peter AND PAUL who went to Rome; http://www.qtafsir.com/index.php?opticom_cview&id=1491
