Recently went to the capital building of my state (Georgia). When I went to the floor with the museum displays the first one I saw included masonic memorabilia.

With this display was written: "Grand Master Davidson used ceremonial Masonic tools like these to test both the symbolic and actual qualities of the stone: the square, honesty and morality; the level, equality; and the plumb, virtue. He found the cornerstone to be "well-formed, true and trusty, and correctly laid." He found the consecrated it with corn, wine, and oil, symbolizing plenty, joy, and peace. Finally he struck the stone three times with a gavel.".... Strange how this secret society was so highly regarded when it comes to those in power, governmental structures and layouts of cites. 

There was also a copper box (you can see a glimpse of a portion of a type of it in the corner of one of these pics) in which the display said a box like this was placed within the cornerstone of the building. This box was a type of time capsule. Cant remember all the things that it did mention are to be in it but wonder what secrets could be within these masonic landmarks. Among the things I can remember that it listed were some legal documents, news papers, and Indian spring water. Roosevelt's little white house is located in Georgia as well not too far from my home. It was located in warm springs and he believed this spring water had healing properties as well as the local Indians that lived here.

Chuck Hagel (Obama's nomination for U.S. secretary of defense) allegedly said the State Department is just an 'adjunct' of Israel's foreign ministry. This has caused alot of scrutiny by two Jewish groups (The American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League) which in return are raising questions about Chuck Hagel's commitment to Israel.
