Within the word we are warned of false peace (Apostacy). Its important for us to judge ourselves to find if we are in the faith (*1 Cor.11:31/2 Cor.13:5)

In the Hebrew (#7600/ 7599/7949) we have a term (Sha-anan) that shows a concept that can be taken for a postive or a negative depending on the hearts (fruits) of those described with the term (the context).

1) at ease, secure, careless

2)arrogant, pride, security

negative uses

Ps.123:4/ Is.32:11/ Zech.1:15/ Job 12:5/ Amos 6:1 ("ease")

2 Kings 19:28/ Is.37:29 ("tumult")

positive uses

Is.32:18/ Is.33:20 ("quiet")

Positive use of the english "at ease" can be found at Ps.25:13 (H#6213 tobe)/ Jer.46:27 (#7599)/Deut.28:65, Lk.12:19, Job 7:13

Point being is that we should be sure our pleasure is in the LORD (truth, life, light) rather than something else.
