1) A/ One of the tribe of Judah (King Line) B/ Many (ignorantly) like to always lump all tribes under this label.-Not speaking about Faith)

2) A/ One of (who dwells in) the territory of Judah (and or Jerusalem)/ B/ There was a time when there were two captials of Israel and at this time those who vowed to The Temple and King of Jerusalem as theirs could be considered Jews In This Context, reguardless of the territory they lived or tribe. Israel was split into The House of Judah and The House of Israel)

3)A/ One who embraces The Faith (Torah/ Word of God)reguardless of tribe or territory./ B/ Many interject one who embraces "Judaism" or even more extremely- "Rabbinical Judasim"

Paul for example demonstrated knowledge of the different uses of the term Jew to work the Roman soilders into a corner! 

The Y-Chromosomal Aaron Hypothesis

Many have the interest in proving one is a  Physical "Jew" (more specifically a Levite) through DNA. Amoung such people are those who point to this hypothesis. The Y Chromosomal Aaron Hypothesis is based around a spacific line of DNA commonly found among those who claim to be Jews today. Those within this line share unqiue genes. They are shown to be related (nothing more).

* This relation is tracked through the Y chromozone (MALES) 

*This line does NOT specifically show relation to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel), Judah (Levi), Or Aaron.

*This line includes any & all interracial ties.

 

These facts show that this hypothesis cant honestly be used to prove one is a Jew by any sense of the Word.

According to the sages (Rabbinic Judaism), today Physical (Matrilineal) Jewish relation is carried through the Mother (Female NOT the Male). Scriptures used to form this interpretation are:

- Ex.21:4,8-9

(Jewish male slave given Gentile wife, (because) sons remain property after (if) father is freed)

- Deut.7:1-5  in expressing the prohibition against intermarriage, G-d says "he [i.e., the non-Jewish male spouse] will cause your child to turn away from Me and they will worship the gods of others." No such concern is expressed about the child of a non-Jewish female spouse. From this, we infer that the child of a non-Jewish male spouse is Jewish (and can therefore be turned away from the faith), but the child of a non-Jewish female spouse is not Jewish (and therefore turning away is not an issue). ( Someone of the world (nations) who doesnt believe and embrace Torah will cause your child to turn from YHVH) Lev. 24:10-16,(32) Starngers in the land are held up to Torah standards. Num.15:15 any one can become one of the faith of Israel.

Before time of Jacob/Judah, those of the line were called "Ivri" or "Eber" (Hebrews) not Jews or Israel like Abraham in Gen.14:13

We have been told there are both good and bad figs (Jer.24), We are warned of the tares in the midst of the wheat(Matt 13). We are warned against those who claim to be Jews but are not (Rev.2:9 and 3:9). We are told of serpents that claim the physical realtion to Abraham but reject the Word of YHVH (Jn.8/ Matt 23). Why do these people seek (stress) the title Jew?

 

ISRAEL was chosen to be a light unto the nations. This consists of

1) Being an example (unto the nations) of what it means to have a relationship with YHVH.(blessings or curses)

2) To bring forth the Word in more than one way

a) Written

b) Oral

c) Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus The Christ)

 

The Priesthood of Israel had standards. High priests were Levites. Priests had the responciblity of preserving the written Word with such duties as scribes (who kept making copies of the texts to pass on through the generations) and executing judgements. So its easy to see how one with this title and authority could not only corrupt the Word (texts) but also judgements. (btw rabbis are no substitute for Levitical priests)

Who is interested in the use of DNA proving Physical Jewish relation?

Those who want to errect a another earthly temple with another earthly priesthood of Levitical standards which would require that the priests thereof are full Levites. (many of which claim these are the Levites, which is rather important for those who seek to reinstitute the temple, priestly order of Levites, and blood sacrifices - in which those who embrace Messiah know Will lead to the abomination of desolation)

Fact is No one can physically prove jewish purity today. No one can prove that their mothers, mothers , mothers , mothers, mothers, mothers, mothers,...... mother is full Israelite. The same goes for all tribes of Israel. There can be Alot of circumstantial evidence that one is of a certain tribe an so on but no undeniable concrete proof. That would take one basically showing the births of their line all the way back to Jacob and his wives.

 

(The Physical concept of a Jew takes a back seat to the Spiritual concept Rom.2:29. Jacob was called Israel following the fact that he strived (wrestled) with YHVH. Israel means prince of Yah which points to the inheritance and one who carries his character. One in a relationship with YHVH Spiritually. The Physical concept does have a importance purpose but for the individual the Spiritual concept is a requirement to recieve peace and rest of the LORD our God. BTW any Antisemitism on this thread will not be tolerated. Spare us any stereotypes please, they only breed ignorance and hate.)

Those who desperately seek to use this hypothesis for their own agendas often rationalize those of other races to be found with this Y Chromozone to be the lost tribes of Israel ignoring the fact that the hypothesis has taken in interracial biproducts.  

 

Below is a video where someone is ignorantly attempting to track the lost tribes of Israel based on the use of this hypothesis. One with the facts can see how he totally ignores the tribes and is in fact replacing them with mixed peoples. I have heard many examples of this ignorance in the field of the world, one even saying that since Zilpah was the servant of Leah justifies Gad and Asher as another race.?? These are nothing more than interjections based on vain imaginations.

Instead of showing evidence of the Tribes many consider peoples who MIXED with Israel to be the Tribes of Israel (Big Problem). Anyone else see the ignorance here? There is historical evidence of groups of Jews scattering from Israel to the nations ever since Israel was instituted. They often met communities that welcomed their knowledge and ways and they eventually embraced them as well. After Israel mixed (mated) with these communities these people are considered "Jews" and even the Lost tribes according to this hypothesis.

To claim these mixed peoples are The Tribes of Israel is going off course. These are a mixed people thus not making up the pure pedigree that is The Tribes of Israel according to Torah. (Spiritual Israel is another subject).

The people of Israel were described as ruddy (to show blood in the face/blush) 1 Sam.16:12;17:42, Songs 5:10 Gen.49:12 Lam. 4:7 Everywhere we see the discription of being "black" the subject is an (emotional or physical)infirmity Lam.5:10, Songs 1:5 Job30:30.

Its historically proven that Egytptians never made the likeness of a non Egyptian (or an egyptian slave) on their Petroglyphs. It went against the culture to record the history of another people with their art and momuments.  It was deemed taboo and or bad luck to the culture to do so.  Also its also been proven that Egyptians themselves built the pyramids not their (Jewish) slaves * # %  .... (black Hebrew Israelites ignorantly lean on their ignorance of these facts and attempt to use these artistic expressions seen on Egyptian landmarks as their "evidence" that Jews were black.)

Great subject, and I would like to offer my understanding about something.

 

We know that The House Of Judah is made up of 2 tribes  (Judah and Levi) and that the other, The House Of Israel consists of 10 tribes.

 

I think Judah is actually three tribes, which includes Benjamin. The Levites have no inheritance in this world because He is their inheritance (Deuteronomy 18.1). Joseph received a double blessing, so there are actually 13 tribes:

 

Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph (Ephraim and Manasseh) and Benjamin.

 DNA in the Y chromosome is passed from father to son (MALE). The Y-Chromosomal Aaron HYPOTHESIS only shows common ancestery, It does NOT show relation any biblical character specifically.

Anyone claiming this is "jewish dna" is streaching the facts and can't show hard evidence to support any claims that DNA proves Jewishness. As prior mentioned this standard also includes mamzêrs which would defile the purpose tracing a spacific seedline in relation to Jews. The reason some would like to make the facts say more than they do is cause we have those that want to bi-pass Messiah and re-establish the earthly priesthood of the earthly temple which relies on haveing qualified Levitical priests and if there is no direct relation to Aaron (Levi) one isn't fully qualified and yet no one can show hard evidence of being a full Levite today. We are warned about those who have crept in unawares. People can't show physical evidence of being from any spacific tribe of Israel. There is a reason why the temple doesnt stand today, there is a reason why the eastern gate stands sealed, there is a reason why there is no Levitical order instituted today and thus no way to carry out many rituals, judgements, ....

During the census of old Ezra 8:15 it was bothersome that none of the priests were found to be Levites (of full authority) rather there were substitues (Nethinim/ descendants of Nathan given to service) during first influx of Israelis returning. No one in this first wave back were qualified to be a high priest. We have many other scriptures that clearly document how tares have cerpt into Israel , claimed the title Jew, and even were given priestly duties. This continues to be a priority of the enemy within. To creep in to Churches, families, communities, ..... Beware of those that seek priestly authority and reject Messiach.
