The 15th of Nissan was a sabbath (1st day of the feast of unleaven bread as well as the 7th day of unleavened bread and Saturday wasnt a set standard so at this time you could have more than one sabbath in a week and the set aside Sabbaths of the high "Holy" Days are seen as high sabbaths. Count 14 days after the spring equinox/ and or 15 days counting the spring equinox / This is the Solar Passover in which some partake of communion (The LORD's Table). During the passover observances we have Kiddush- blessing over wine followed by Hamotzi-the blessing over bread. Matsah(matza)-( Unleavened /no yeast/ bread). Represents body of Emmanuel which had no leaven.

You take 3 pieces of matsah the middle piece is called the Afikomen. You Break it (physical death), Wrap it (burial preparation), and Hide it (Burial) / 4 cups of wine/ You hide the Afikomen during 2nd cup. You go get it and bring it back during the 3rd cup. Can you see the relation to the sacrifice of the Lamb of God (Yeshua)-Christ? Christ was crucified, wrapped, and resurrected the third day!

Matsah is bruised-striped- and pierced (look at it).

______________The Lamb___

Jewish tradition/ The high priest would journey to near by Bethlehem to get a passover lamb. (this is where the shepherds and their flocks were). He would then carry it through the Eastern Gate, it would be inspected to make sure it was without blemish. On the day of Passover between 9 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon he would slaughter the lamb as well as the lambs others brought forth and stand for 6 hours.
Jesus was born in Bethleham (Luke2) The lamb of God (Jn.1:29)

Around 1530 A.D. Pagon perversions of the High Sabbath of Passover

"Easter" is a Mis-translation. The one place it appears in Acts 12:4 . the term was Pasal (Pascha/ Pesach), it can niether be tranlated or transliterated "Easter". Most dictionaries will tell you Easter is a Pagon ritual to the pagon fertility godess ishtar (The myth claims ishtar was hatched from and egg/ nature/). It consisted of brothels (orgies) in the woods to insure offspring in the coming year. Ever heard of quick as a bunny? Rabbits are known for their rate of reproduction. Whats a rabbit got to do with the Passover sacrifice or ressurection of Messiah? Nothing.
I don't go around condemning those who hide easter eggs and saying happy easter, most do so out of ignorance. Some of them observe "Easter" in acknowledgement of Christ and are just unlearned about the term and it's orgins. If any ask I simply say I don't hide easter eggs I celibrate the ressurection of Christ (observe Passover). There are a few ways to spark interest and sow a seed to those interested in discussing the subject./ ** Jer. 7:17-30 (Jer.44:3)

While some claim the term "Easter" and rituals were used to bring pagons to Christianity, that shows lack of respect for the observance of Passover. We aren't to bring pagon orgins into the body of Christ or observances of the High Sabbath..

Communion (The LORD's table)

1 Cor.11:24-25,29 Taking communion shouldnt just be something to do. It's good to be in line with its meaning when partaking. During this time one should be devoted to practicing discipline and ridding their homes and life of that which conflicts spiritual growth.

____recipe_____________

Matzah (Unleavened Bread)
Heat oven to 375 - 400 degrees Fahrenheit (I use 400 degrees)

Two parts kosher for passover flour - NO SELF-RISING FLOUR!!! (2 cups flour)

One part spring water (1 cup water)

A variation is to use only 2/3 of the water amount and replace the missing 1/3 of water with kosher for passover cooking oil (those with oil will brown sooner).

Another variation is to add a dash of salt.

Place flour in a bowl

Gradually add the water (and oil or salt, if used) until all is mixed well -- add more water or flour if needed.

Knead dough until the dough is no longer sticky - I usually add a dash more flour while kneading.

Roll dough out on a cookie sheet thinly, no more than 1/4 an inch thick.

Use a fork or a toothed comb to puncture the matzah, making rows of perforations across the full length of rolled-out dough. Then lightly stretch dough a bit closer to sheet/pan edges to enlarge the perforations made.

Bake for 15 - 17.59 minutes (pizza stone times may vary) -- watch for browning -- when it's browned and crispy, it's done. (I make smaller, individual sized ones instead of ones the size of a whole cookie sheet, so mine take a little less baking time. Mine have never stuck to my cookie sheet since I use the type with a non-stick finish -- others tell me they instead use parchment paper lining their baking pan, I've never tried this).

When the Eve of Passover falls on Shabbat, the Fast of the Firstborn customarily takes place on the preceding Thursday, instead of the day before (Friday). This is because it is forbidden to fast on Shabbat (except when it coincides with Yom Kippur), and it is preferable not to fast on Friday.

Comment by William H. on August 28, 2018 at 8:10am

Matthew 26:17, then, can more accurately be translated, "Now before [the Feast of] Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him, ‘Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?'" In other words, this incident happened before the Feast of Unleavened Bread had begun. Since they were inquiring about preparing the Passover, this could have taken place either late in the day on Abib 13 or possibly just after sunset on Abib 14 (since the Passover lamb was to be killed between sunset and dark as the 14th began).

Matthew 26:17

Hidden in the Greek of Matthew 26:17; Mark 14:1, 12; and Luke 22:7is a reference to Passover as "the first of the unleaveneds." This is because unleavened bread is indeed used on the 14th as part of the Passover service. A comparison with the Old Testament, however, discloses this to be only the popular usage of some during New Testament times. In the Old Testament, something akin to this is found in Deuteronomy 16, where the first day of Unleavened Bread is called "Passover," while the context clearly describes the first day of Unleavened Bread. People popularly used Passover and Unleavened Bread interchangeably, and the Bible notes this practice, though "Passover" was the term most generally used for the whole period.

Doing things like this is not uncommon. Today, we commonly refer to the Feast of Tabernacles and the Last Great Day as either the "Feast" or "Tabernacles," even though we clearly understand that the Feast of Tabernacles and Last Great Day are separate festivals. So it was with Passover in the time of Christ and the apostles. Neither our use of "Tabernacles" nor the Jews use of "Passover" alters the authority of God's intent in the Scriptures.

John W. Ritenbaugh

(Deut.16:1-4)

Exo 12:18 reads: ‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, in the evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month in the evening. If we count the days from the 14th to the 21st, we get eight days 14th = 1 15th = 2 16th = 3 17th = 4 18th = 5 19th = 6 20th = 7 21th = 8 The Torah is clear, however, that we are to keep this feast seven days (Exo 13:6, 23:15, 34:18, Lev 23:6, Num 28:17, & Deu 16:3). From this alone, one can rightfully reason that the Passover meal must begin at the END of the 14th day of the month. However, we are given two addition witnesses from Torah that confirm that the Passover begins at the END of the 14th: 1) Deu 16:4 “And no leaven should be seen with you in all your border for seven days, neither should any of the meat which you slaughter in the evening on the first day stay all night until morning. Notice that it says the meat of the slaughered lamb should not stay "all night until morning". This would mean that the slaughter took place "in the evening of the first day". Is not this "first day" the 14th? 2) Deu 16:6 "...there you slaughter the Passover in the evening, AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN, at the appointed time you came out of Mitsrayim."

...”first unleavened” ...

The 14th CB (KJV) Appendix

Now notice that the words "day of the Feast of" are italicized, showing that the translators added them to the text. The Greek literally reads, "And on the first unleavened. . . ." The word translated as "first," protos, typically signifies a thing that is first in a sequence or first in prominence. However, it can also indicate an order of events, as well as whether an event occurs before or concurrently with another.

”unleavened bread”

Pronounce: ad'-zoo-mos

Strongs Number: G106

Orig: from 1 (as a negative particle) and 2219; unleavened, i.e. (figuratively) uncorrupted; (in the neutral plural) specially (by implication) the Passover week:--unleavened (bread). G1

Use: TDNT-2:902,302 Adjective

Heb Strong: H4680

1) unfermented, free from leaven or yeast
1a) of the unleavened loaves used in the paschal feast of the Jews
1b) metaph. free from faults or the "leaven of iniquity

Shem Tov’s Hebrew Matthew includes the addition.

In the pershitta Aramaic it says "and the first day of Unleavened Bread was drawing near".

Polycrates of Ephesus (/pəˈlɪkrəˌtiːz/; Greek: Πολυκράτης; fl. c. 130 – 196) was an Early Christian bishop who resided in Ephesus.

Roberts and Donaldson noted that Polycrates "belonged to a family in which he was the eighth Christian bishop; and he presided over the church of Ephesus, in which the traditions of St. John were yet fresh in men's minds at the date of his birth. He had doubtless known Polycarp, and Irenaeus also. He seems to have presided over a synod of Asiatic bishops (A.D. 196) which came together to consider this matter of the Paschal feast. It is surely noteworthy that nobody doubted that it was kept by a Christian and Apostolic ordinance."[1]

Polycrates is best known for his letter addressed to the Roman Bishop Victor who was attempting to find a consensus about the proper date to celebrate Pascal see also Quartodecimanism.

The Church historian Eusebius wrote,

A question of no small importance arose at that time. For the parishes of all Asia, as from an older tradition, held that the fourteenth day of the moon, on which day the Jews were commanded to sacrifice the lamb, should be observed as the feast of the Saviour's passover...But it was not the custom of the churches in the rest of the world...But the bishops of Asia, led by Polycrates, decided to hold to the old custom handed down to them. He himself, in a letter which he addressed to Victor and the church of Rome, set forth in the following words the tradition which had come down to him.[2][3]
Here is what Eusebius records that Polycrates wrote,

We observe the exact day; neither adding, nor taking away. For in Asia also great lights have fallen asleep, which shall rise again on the day of the Lord's coming, when he shall come with glory from heaven, and shall seek out all the saints. Among these are Philip, one of the twelve apostles, who fell asleep in Hierapolis; and his two aged virgin daughters, and another daughter, who lived in the Holy Spirit and now rests at Ephesus; and, moreover, John, who was both a witness and a teacher, who reclined upon the bosom of the Lord, and, being a priest, wore the sacerdotal plate. He fell asleep at Ephesus. And Polycarp in Smyrna, who was a bishop and martyr; and Thraseas, bishop and martyr from Eumeneia, who fell asleep in Smyrna. Why need I mention the bishop and martyr Sagaris who fell asleep in Laodicea, or the blessed Papirius, or Melito the Eunuch who lived altogether in the Holy Spirit, and who lies in Sardis, awaiting the episcopate from heaven, when he shall rise from the dead? All these observed the fourteenth day of the passover according to the Gospel, deviating in no respect, but following the rule of faith. And I also, Polycrates, the least of you all, do according to the tradition of my relatives, some of whom I have closely followed. For seven of my relatives were bishops; and I am the eighth. And my relatives always observed the day when the people put away the leaven. I, therefore, brethren, who have lived sixty-five years in the Lord, and have met with the brethren throughout the world, and have gone through every Holy Scripture, am not affrighted by terrifying words. For those greater than I have said 'We ought to obey God rather than man'...I could mention the bishops who were present, whom I summoned at your desire; whose names, should I write them, would constitute a great multitude. And they, beholding my littleness, gave their consent to the letter, knowing that I did not bear my gray hairs in vain, but had always governed my life by the Lord Jesus.[3]
Pope Victor attempted to cut off from the common unity Polycrates and others for taking this stance, but later reversed his decision after Irenaeus and others interceded.[4] It is unclear what happened to Polycrates after his letter.

Polycrates' letter has been used as proof against the argument that the Churches in Asia Minor accepted the authority of the bishops at Rome

Only those in (or entering into) covenant should partake of The LORD's table. 1 Cor.11:27-31 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged./ One who is willfully living in sin has no place at the Lord's table or the wedding feast Matt.22:11-13 / "And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? Just wanted to share what day i will be taking part in communion this year (2015).

Yeshua (Jesus) and his talmidim (disciples) partook of the Lord's table (Last supper) on preparation day (14th of Nisan/ those who follow a strictly solar calendar i will let you work that out but I'm pretty sure this year it all matches with the "Jewish" calendar). Anyway, This meal was eaten at Night (After sunset of the 13th thus officially on the 14th). This year the 2nd of April is the 13th of Nisan and April 3rd is the 14th (preparation day) and thus Pesach is on the 15th of Nisan (the 4th of April). So I will personally be looking forward to partaking of the Lord's table (Bread and wine,...) on the 14th of Nisan just after the 2nd of April sunset!  (Some are also claiming that this Pesach will be marked with a blood moon just as it was the year Yeshua was crucified!) /Seder Plate: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passover_Seder_Plate

"Ēostre or "Ostara" (Old English: Ēastre, Northumbrian dialect Ēostre; Old High German: *Ôstara) is a Germanic divinity who, by way of the Germanic month bearing her name (Northumbrian: Ēosturmōnaþ; West Saxon: Ēastermōnaþ; Old High German: Ôstarmânoth), is the namesake of the festival of Easter." Thus its just another way of identifying with the same filth.

Jn.6:53,54

Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. (Matt.26:26-27/ 1 Cor.10:16-17)

Jews were to do all things sacrid to the letter so the physical act of partaking of bread and wine (of the sacrifice) was done to highlight the Spiritual message (of the Gospel among the disciples).

Believing in Christ = eating (BREAD/body) and drinking (WINE/blood)/ IDOM
