The world is full of sin. The desires of man are always self serving, selfish, and self centered. Yes, we can achieve good and often aspire to provide compassion but by days end, do we not all seek (desire) the pleasures of life? Carnal pleasures as simple as a safe home, or a hot meal or a warm, cozy bed. We even strive for the love, affection and approval of others. Even today, no matter which land your feet touch, greed grows grudgingly. It is as if our nature as humans is to 'lust' after the world and what it has to offer us. Fully realize, that regardless of what we accomplish, even when dedicated to YHVH (God), they are as filth rags to His pure, white linen.

Isaiah 64

Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

I have been reviewing what YHVH instructs and demands of us. It is the contract between Him and His people. We cannot just hear His words but must also be doers of His word. (James 1:22-23, Jeremiah 11:4, Isaiah 1:19 & Romans 2:13). With the current state of the world, I felt it best to reflect on our contract and make certain that we are maintaining and upholding our end of the agreement.

Yet, I must acknowledge, the review was exhaustive and the final conclusion, a bit disappointing. I subconsciously knew the answer before I started, but I was apt to confirm those suspicions. Essentially, I realized that we are doomed to fail. As followers of the bible, how might I had thought otherwise.

I guess I'll put it this way:

We cannot escape sin. We cannot avoid sin. We cannot live apart from sin. We must come to terms with sin and plead for YHVH (God) to save us from sin. For as I said in the onset of this post, this world is full of sin.

Proverbs 16

The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord.

All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits.

Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.

For if we are to change the way of destruction that is soon to follow, we must repent and return to YHVH (God) by word and deed. That means, keeping the provisions of the contract assigned to us. It is true that sin and desire are a part of us but pray, turn and repent, for there is not other way to survive, both now and into the future.

For the world is full of sin.

Just felt this might help someone.
