Jn.3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

Eph.4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, *one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Those with spiritual eyes and ears see the water baptisim pointing to --> THE (1) BAPTISIM of the Spirit! . (Rom.6:1-14/ Col.2:17/ Heb.8:5;10:1/ Matt 3:11)

Water baptisim for Christians symbolizes entering into the grave (as Yeshua did) and overcoming death through his sacrifice. But is there more to it than that?

-John 3 (Simple passage to understand when in the spirit but many go get dunked in some water and just say they believe and never stress baring any Other fruits)

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

(again- anothen- "FROM ABOVE" /Greek #509)

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

(Note: flesh is to be considered the temple of the spirit)

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Being born of water is to be understood both physically and Spiritually.  Note: the malefactor on the cross Christ said to him This day ye shall be with me in heaven. He didnt say If you tear yourself down from  the cross and go submerse in water. This day, cause by his words to Yeshua he professes faith and repentance (being born again both In the flesh and of the Spirit). Should we take this to say we shouldnt submerse? No Christ is our example and doing mikveh is good!

First of all, water is used to represent: giving of life (birth), sustaining of life, The Holy Spirit * Jn 4:10,11,12,13,14,15/* Jn.7:37,38,39), The Word * 1 Jn.5:8/ Eph.5:26/ Matt.4:4/,  and cleansing....

Jn.3:5 says born of: 1) water (Matt.3:11) 2) Spirit (Acts 19:2-5)

-Jn.3:6 say born of: 1) flesh/flesh 2) Spirit/spirit (*overcoming the grave)

Subject #"1)" has two layers (1a, 1b) and is the focuss of this blog.

1 Cor.6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

1a) Yochanan (John) the baptist stressed to the pharisees that they had need to Bring Forth Fruits Worthy of Repentance Lk.3:8 This the whole point of Water baptism (to be devoted to bringing forth Fruits in the flesh). He submersed those (mikveh) who had a change of heart (Repented). This is a good phy work before witnesses (of professing your faith and submission to YHVH), that you devote your body to walking in the (fruit of the) Spirit. Professing That your body (flesh) is to be a temple of the Holy Spirit according to faith (1 Cor.3:16/ 1 Cor.6:19). This is One Spiritual relation to being "born of flesh/water". This layer (of being born of water/flesh) directly points to being born of Spirit (which is the Primary reason for Jn.3) as Yochanan also pointed to as the forerunner of Yeshua (Jesus) Lk.3:16. If we deny Him we will certainly be denied the kingdom.

The first miracle Christ did was to turn water to wine. The Father in relation to us is known as the Potter. Two become One (echad) a marriage. Christ was at a wedding and they ran out of wine. He said to put water into the vessels (as we are born of water). When we become echad (one) with Christ we are to bring forth fruit. The water in these vessels came out as fruit of the vine (wine).

1b) The Pharisee Nicodemus was narrowly considering Yeshua's words literally (in the physical sense) yet there are layerS to the Word of God. (two basics are "-1- phy. -2- Spiritual") Many today are still reading John 3 with a limited understanding.

Nicodemus heard the Words of Yeshua and immediately thought of the womb. Today we have believers that hear Yeshua's words of John 3 and immediately think of literal water baptisim, and also point to the Spiritual truth of baptism (which ARE the most edifying contexts! btw). But could there be yet another layer? (If so there would be a reason for it/ like an example)

Can we get something from a strictly physical view? Afterall, Yeshua used the literal (physical) context as a starting point of understanding required before full understanding of the spiritual context!

vs.12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

(heavenly- pertaining to the heavens!/ figurative of being Spiritual ("things")!)

When we read Gen.2:7 (with Hebrew understanding)/ 1 Cor.15:35-58/ 2 Cor.5:7-10/ Ecc.12:6-7/ Jn.16:28/ Job33:4 we see than physical man consists of both spirit and flesh. The spirit thereof coming from the Father and exsisting before physical birth as we can document Many times over.

vs.13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. (Eph.4:8,9,10,11,12/ 1 Cor.5:6,7,8/Heb.1:1-4 (Is.48:12,13,16,17)/ Heb.2:14)

Note: one must 1st descend before they can ascend! Meaning they exsisted spiritually prior to physical birth/conception and that spirit which is that individual self enters the flesh (descend) until it physically dies and ascends.  So from this I gather support and see No biblical claim to refute all the verses that carry the context that: we are also being told its a requirement that we be Born into the physical realm (flesh) according to YHVH's order, in order to enter the eturnal kingdom. To be born of woman. To be born of the womb (water!). To be born into the earth which again is surrounded by the firmament (of water). (Gen.1:26)

Some may say duh. Some will say yeah thats a Very simple truth (we are born of flesh before we see the eturnal kingdom. Some may say, well werent we all born of woman (flesh)? Yes, WE all were! But there were some spirits that rejected this order. They are known as fallen (rebel) spirit beings. Instead of being born of woman (flesh) according to YHVH's standard they came to seduce woman (Gen.6) and to work out their own salvation and to further their own order. YHVH saw this as an abomination and brought about the flood of Waters to destroy them and all the perversion they had created within Their order. They are to this day being reserved unto the day of judgement (Jude 1:6).

Matt.7:16

(Note how people who were temples of fornication were to be cut off from among the people (of God). Members of darkness are to be seperated from the body (church) of Christ (and from Physical Israel). The people of Israel were to be circumcized (which was a physical sign of devoting your body (flesh) to walking in a covenant relationship with YHVH . Within the culture a mikveh (ritual bath)is symbolic of refreshing & cleansing with relation to Teshuva (repentance).

Circumcision is of the heart. Rom.2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Babylonian Talmud Yevamot 69b states that: “the embryo is considered to be mere water until the fortieth day.”

(Breath Gen.2:7,Genesis 7.21–22

(Talmud, Tohoroth II Oholoth 7:6)If a woman is in hard labor {and her life cannot otherwise be saved}, one cuts up the child within her womb and extracts it member by member, because her life comes before that of the child. But if the greater part {or the head} was delivered, one may not touch it, for one may not set aside one person’s life for the sake of another..../ Rashi states clearly of the fetus ‘lav nefesh hu—It is not a person.’

Many ask why was Yeshua (Jesus) baptised. Even John exspressed he had need that Messiah baptize him (Matt.3:14)!

........ Matt.3:13-17/ Mk.1:9-11/ Lk.3:21-23/ Jn.1:31-33...........

It was to show that Messiah (Ben Yoseph) had come! This was when he started his ministry (and to begin to fulfill scripture)! We are told that the Spirit of Elijah is the forerunner of Messiah (Elijah represents the prophets which point towards Messiah). We were also told in relation to Yochanan (John) the Baptist that this is Elijah IF you will recieve it. John wasnt recieved he was beheaded and Messiah was rejected as well.

To do Mikveh (or water baptisim) signifies that you are devoting your whole being to G-D the Father, to do His will. (Devoting the flesh to be a vessel of bringing forth fruits of The Spirit- a temple of G-D) This water baptisim was a sign that Messiah would now fulfill that which was before him to do and its only right that John was the one to baptize him. John said that this was a sign to him (John) that this was indeed Messiah and John the baptist had Just finished telling the people i baptize thee with water but one comes after me who baptizes with the Holy Spirit (Mk.1:8/ Lk.3:16)! \

Jn.1:31-33 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

John KNEW this to be a Clear sign from G-D even before the actual event that this is the Holy One of Israel! We know this Holy One was sinless he wasnt washing away sins (Blood Atones, Not water). Mashiach means anointed. This one is Forever after the order of Melchisedec and his anointing is by the Father. The Voice of G-D declared His favor upon Yeshua at his baptism (Matt.3:17)

---------

Mikveh (water baptism) is not the traditional ceremonial anointing (with oil). (Just extra bits of info for notes)

Yeshua was after the order of Mel. (of which Levi paid tithes to through Abraham). Samuel anointed David, of the Father (Sam.10:1). The anointing is obviously done according to the Father. Yeshua - Lk.4:18 (Is.61:1)

1 Pet.1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the WORD of God, which liveth and abideth forever.

Matt.19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God:... vs.21 "follow me"... Christ came not to do his own will (that of his flesh) but came to do the will of The Father. Thus we saw the Father in the life (fruits) of Christ.

John the baptist said I baptise with water but there is one coming after me who baptizes with The Holy Spirit (Matt.3:11), Its evident that John the baptist had the Holy Spirit at this time (Lk.1:15,41) For this message was one of the Holy Spirit and we are even told he was filled with the Holy Spirit from his mothers Womb! REMEMBER John lept in his mother's womb (water sack) when Mary came to Elizebeth (John's Mom) and they were both pregnate. We are told John was filled with the Holy Spirit from the womb!!! Him later also baptizing Yeshua showed fellowship come ful circle with the forerunner of Christ and Christ himself.

Yochanan - born of spirit while in the waters of the womb! Lk.1:15  (not the actual image btw!)
