The Father NEVER Forsook Yeshua The Christ (The annointed one) and Messiah doesn’t forsake G-D’s people. (Matt. 28:20 Jn. 15:15  one many membered body of Messiah).
Psalm 22
Many rationalize Matt.27:46 Mk.15:34 out of context to say God forsook Christ (& David). Such views don't find were all the scriptures agree nor even attempt to.

Matt.27:46- "And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

Christ was quoting  DAVID Ps.22! (BTW the Hebrew "manuscript" of Matthew /Shem Tov's doesnt use the Aramaic it used the Hebrew and is an exact quote of the Hebrew texts of Psalms.) This is obvious when comparing it to the other areas that describe the crusifixtion! Matt.27:46 = Ps.22:1 There is further evidence he went on to quote the whole Psalm of David when reading the many areas that tell about the crusifixtion.

.............................
God said he will neither leave nor forsake us (his sheep) -Deut.31:6,8/ Heb.13:5/ Josh 1:5
Ps. 22 was in David's words, yet inspired by God. David was describing his emotional/ physical state in personal trials, later quoted by Christ on the cross and it was a detailed discription of the events during the crusifixtion!

* joints being pulled out of socket, *effects of fluid loss (Ps.22:14-15), the *approach of physical death, the *on lookers Ps.22:17 Lk.23:25/ ,* piercing of the body (Ps. 22:13..../ Hab.1:4 - "surrounds": surrounds, as in : “Strong bulls of Bashan have surrounded me (כִּתְּרוּנִי) )- crowned - Proverbs 14:8, * casting lots for his garments (Lk.23:34/ Ps. 22:18/ Matt.27:35), we get a *discription of the passover sacrifice, *giving up the Spirit with faith, and ends with the fact that *these events would be passed down to the following generations, and*It is finished)

All these things are clear in the Hebrew of Psalm 22 and later a part of the description throughout the Gospel.

Prophacy was being fulfilled & quoted before all those there to witness the crusifixtion! This is how effective Christ was to those who embraced the Truth. Yes in Matt. 27 the qoute was interupted in verse 47 after quoting Ps.22:1 inorder to show the current mood and to record yet went on to document that these prophacies were being fulfilled! Note the areas in the Nt that go hand and hand with Ps.22! Note how to find the Greek and English equivalent to the Hebrew!

"For he hath made (Bare) him (to BE) sin FOR us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."- KJV

First off ("TO BE") was added to the text! It would have been more appropreate if it were (OVERCOME) instead of Be in this case either way to be is not in the manuscripts.

* The Greek word used (Huper #5228) where the term "FOR" is means: in behalf of, for the sake of, over, above, beyond, Instead, reguarding, Superior to,more than, In behafe of, chiefest,concerning,...! (Heb.2:14)

* The Greek term translated "made" in this verse is poieo (#4160), among the definitions you will find: Bear, be, fulfil, give, have, have purged, put, take, gain, work, + transgress the law, observe.... (1 Cor.5:6-7)

(Bullinger says the Greek here should be translated "him Who knew not sin, for us He MADE (bare/have purged /emphasis mine/) sin"/ You may or may not want to consider this translation but it agrees with the manuscripts and all proper translation in context)

Just minus the added text it reads: "For He hath Made (taken upon) him sin For (in the behafe of) us who knew no sin, That we might be made the righteousness of God in him"

We Know in Biblical (Jewish/ temple) rituals that the sacrifices and or escape goats took on the sins of the people and the effects thereof, but this is different than the concept of them becoming the sin (Spiritual /Physical). Thus Yeshua Christ became our Passover Sacrifice that we may have victory over death, by Grace (unmerited favor). Many seek to complicate the verse

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Jas.1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Rom.6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God is a God of Law. Death was a price (effect/ curse) to be paid for our sins. Christ became our Passover Sacrifice for he was the only one able to overcome death. This was God's intention of the 1st Advent the entire time. Christ came to do the Will of his Father.(Deut.21:23 / Gal.3:13)

_____________
Lev.16(:21-22) There we read of how the iniquities of the children of Israel where (carried by) put upon (Spiritually speaking) a lamb. (in context) The Lamb did not become sin, it stood in the place of the children so that the effects of such iniquities would passover (Just as the lamb that took the place of Isaac) (and the Lamb's blood that made the death angel Passover- in Egypt). This is a spiritual concept that is given in a way that one can picture and understand that there is a need for the Mercy of God and that a sacrifice be made. Some seek to have you believe The Annointed One- was "made to be sin" in a literal way and was forsaken of which even perverts the context of the Godhead. A very different picture of Emmanuel than that which is properly understood within the proper context of the Word.

_____________

Christ knew the crusifixtion was coming.

Christ felt no need to plead for his life before men! Is.53:7 / Mark 15:4,5 (Lk.23:28)
Ps.23:4-"/Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me./"

Ps.22:24-"/For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard./" (Lk.23:46)

Matt.10:28-"/And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Heb.5:7)

Matt.6:10 Christ came to do the Will (works) of YHVH (The Father)
(Matt.26:36-46/ Mk.14:32-42/ Lk.22:40-46)
Matt.26:39- We are all responceable for the crusifixtion and our trangressions brought this on.Matt.26:42

What cup is this? The Last cup of the passover is The Cup of Acceptance! This is the cup that Christ told his disciples he would not drink with them until he did so in The Kingdom (4th cup at Passover) Matt.26:27/ Mk.14:25(Acts 10:41).

When The cup of wrath  is poured out one wants to be found accepted of God. Rev.14:10 / Rev.16:19/ If Christ would have set up the kingdom at the first advent this cup would have already been poured out and the cup of acceptance would have already been issued as well. Christ took the wrath of God for our sins and over came death so that we can partake of the cup of acceptance.

As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

38And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

39Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

44And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

46And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Ps.91:9  For you [said], "The Lord is my refuge"; the Most High you made your dwelling.

No harm will befall you, nor will a plague draw near to your tent. 11 For He will command His angels on your behalf to guard you in all your ways.

On [their] hands they will bear you, lest your foot stumble on a stone (Tyre Tyrus). 13On a young lion and a cobra you will tread; you will trample the young lion and the serpent. (head vs heel)

(Matt.4 &Lk.4)

The Wicked one trying to tempt Yeshua perverted this verse by adding to the concept of Lest "At Any Time" as to Tempt G-D...

(And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

....

4 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Lk.4 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

...other attempts by the wicked one

Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

...

And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Side note.... “Again: The Bible states Mary's Father is Eli (of Judah) Lk.3. This is the Y chromosome (physical father/seed) Yeshua carries and it would be his Biblical tribal identification in eyes of HaShem.
In the Apocrypha (books: The Protoevangelium of James, The Gospel of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin, and The Book of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary) her father is called Joachim and her Mother Anne. Joachim used interchangeably with Joakim and Eliakim in 2 Kings 23:34 and 2 Chron.36:4
Over time  the name Eliakim was shortened to * Eli (Hebrew) or Heli (Greek)”......

G-D's righteous standard says the wage of sin is death thus the Price will/must be paid. Yeshua was victorious and "overcame death" and through him atonement was made for whomsoever will. He lost nothing. It was an act of Love to pay the price and was among the things he was sent here for.

Greek # 747 - archēgos - From G746 and G71; a chief leader: - author, captain, prince.

#5051 - teleiōtēs - From G5048; a completer, that is, consummater: - finisher.

#5479 - chara- (From G5463 ),; cheerfulness, that is, calm delight: - gladness, X greatly, (X be exceeding) joy (-ful, -fully, -fulness, -ous)!

# "5463" - chairō - (The same joy the angel expressed unto Mary when she was to conceive Yeshua Lk.1:28)  A primary verb; to be full of “cheer”, that is, calmly happy or well off; impersonal especially as a salutation (on meeting or parting), be well: - farewell, be glad, God speed, greeting, hail, joy (-fully), rejoice.

"In Matt. 27:46 = Mk. 15:34 Yeshua recites Ps. 22:2(1) from the gallows. Matt. 27:39 alludes to Ps. 22:8(7) about on lookers shaking their heads at him. In Matt. 27:43 the people use the same phase as those in Ps. 22:9(8) (see also Luke 23:35) Luke 23:34 and John 19:24 (as well as the Hebrew text of Matt. 27:35) allude to Ps. 22:19(18) about the casting of lots to divide his clothes, and Hebrews 2:12 also quotes Ps. 22:23(22) as a reference to Yeshua as the Messiah."

Just prior to the cross Yeshua prayed "Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done." (Lk.22:42)/ The Cup being the wrath on our sins (death). Yeshua the Man physically died (comended his Spirit back to the Father while on the cross), However YHVH did answer his prayer! Christ OVERCAME death! (Heb.2:14/ 1 Cor.5:6-8). His prayer while on the cross (which he quoted from Ps.22/ David) was answered in the same manner! Ps.22 declares he was heard by YHVH (it was answered)!

This is the good news of the resurrection! This is how Yeshua could say " Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father" (Jn.10:17-18)

Death had no victory of Yeshua, nor does it have victory over those who walk according to his gospel. (1 Cor.15:54-55)

Israel speaks against YHVH and Moshe

*Num.21:4-5

And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.

Num.14:2/ Ex.15:24; 16:2/   Israel murmored against Moses(Ex.7:1) and Aaron. Israel was murmoring against G-D Ex.16:8,9,12

God judges with serpents

6 And the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

The Brass Serpent

7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

8 And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

Num.21:7-9 The serpent thus symbolized their rebellion(or effect thereof). Everyone that acknowledged their sin lived (yet the wage of sin was death).

This pointed to Mashiach (Christ)

Jn 3:14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

The serpent also represents transgression (in the garden). On the Cross Christ paid the price for our sin, thus making it possible that upon confession we can be cleansed of all unrighteousness! 1 Jn.1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
