Matt 24:36-44
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Lk.17:32-37 (as in days on Noah vs.26-27 and days of Sodom/Lot vs 28-29)
Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
Feel free to discuss. A few points of interest to discuss could be:
* Who is taken?
"taken" Greek # 3880 to receive near, that is, associate with oneself (in any familiar or intimate act or relation); by analogy to assume an office; figuratively to learn: - receive, take (unto, with).
* Who is left?
("left" Greek # 863
(to send; an intensive form of to send forth, in various applications: - cry, forgive, forsake, lay aside, leave, let (alone, be, go, have), omit, put (send) away, remit, suffer, yield up.)
* Who is the Thief?
(may want to consider 1 Thess 5:2-4/ 2 Pet.3:10)
* Which one is Blessed? (the one "taken" or the one "left")

Dear Chette, Eph.4:11 identifies some brothers as "pastors"
Eph.4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
We arent to follow man but we also arent to disrespect instruments (brothers in the faith) of God. While i dont always agree with everything Arnold puts forth I Know he is used of God to bring many to life giving truths (both in the milk and the meat). Thus i see no issue in calling him a Pastor. It would be a different story if he went by "reverend" cause we arent called to reverance man.
Matt.23:8-10
But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
A shepherd doesnt hold himself up, his priority is feeding (God's) sheep.
Matt 23:11-12
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
One thing i respect about Muray is that he doesnt give place to gossip about others (other ministries, preachers,..) during the time he puts into feeding the sheep. He does share ways to tell true instruments of the Spirit from fakes but never mentions individuals by name.
I too have a problem with men who use the term reverend because
Ps 111:9 . . . holy and reverend is his name.
I reworded a statement by Murray because if points to the fundamental truth that God's word stands on its own regardless of how men misuse it.
What did you reword by "Pastor Murray" ? You're post's ar very famililar in
context to "Chette". I think you are one in the same under a different
handle.
The posts under the i.d. "08oqo27awwutv" are those of "Chette". They remain because they were responded to and a part of the discussion here. They have this new i.d. cause Chette was deleted from FriendsNChrist, Chette's agenda was to gossip about individuals. This person was (contacted &) encouraged to share their views without making others their focuss and they Refused to do so. 08oqo27awwutv constantly insisted on starting discussions and blogs with the intention of pointing fingers at certian individuals. If this person would have made their points without doing so they would still be here (I dont exspect you to see another post from this i.d.). Sorry if i killed the discussion but there are more productive ways to fellowship than to mis quote others while making gossip a focuss.

Good point, thank you !
I should have checked the Greek.
The English “taken” and “left” can be misleadingly read as “taken away”/destroyed, and “left”/survived. Taken and left. It’s like looking at a half full/empty glass, but yes, the Greek does make it clear. I will have to very soon correct where I have referred to it incorrectly in www.declarethedecree.com
As you show the Greek it is more correctly similar to “taken in” and surviving, and “left out” and destroyed.
i.e. who will be received and saved, and who will be forsaken and destroyed.
So although in fact “the flood took all the wicked away”, Noah was embraced and saved alive in the Ark. In that sense Noah was “taken” in, and the others were “left” out to be swept away.
Lot gladly looked and moved forwards to building a future somewhere else, but presumably Lot’s wife was loath to leave behind her house, home and friends. She looked back and was destroyed. Sodom was destroyed by fire and brimstone. They all died but Lot survived, happily giving up everything he had and moving forwards to a new future. So yes, Lot was taken and saved, but his wife hesitated and was lost:
“Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
Remember Lot’s wife.
And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord ? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body (corpse) is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.” (Luke 17:30-37)
i.e. It will happen to the wicked everywhere: inescapably “wheresoever” they are.
“But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.” (Matthew 8:22)
Like the “flood”, “fire and brimstone” and vultures (“eagles”), in that day fire will take care of the spiritually “dead”, whersoever they are found.
Those forsaken/left will become ashes under the feet of the living that were taken in, embraced and saved:
“For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Malachi 4: 1–3)
Those that run into the “strong tower” are totally safe !
After His “indignation” has passed over, they emerge safely from the “strong tower”, and tread down the wicked whersoever they were, as ash under the soles of their feet !
His “dominion” will come first to these of the “strong tower”, “the daughter of Jerusalem”.
So yes, it is those “taken” or received into the "strong tower", “Ark”, “barn” and “stall” that are saved alive, and those “left” who are swept away or burnt up.
