Three were intombed alive in a volcanic summit as what is believed to be a incan religious act of sacrifice. The three fell asleep and basically frooze to death. the remains are said to be amoung the best well preserved mummies of all time.

Matt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: (vs.30=1 Thess.4:16)

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Is.13:9-10 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

(the foundation of man telling time/day/hour is all based around the lights of the heavens. Without this concept of time being in effect man can no longer "tell" the time. So even the witnesses of the return wouldn't beable to tell the day nor hour cause logically there isn't one. Only way this would be done in relation to man is by trust in a mechanical time piece without relation to true time.)
