Rebuke (Chastisement)

 Rebuke should be done in love.  
Ecc. 7:5-It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools. Lk.17:3 -Take heed to yourselves : If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. (2 Tim.2:3-5) 

Rev.3:19- As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. (tough love)
Hebrews 12:6-7 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? (Deut.8:5)
Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. (Proverbs 19:18 )
Prov. 1:7 says: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 22:15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. (Proverbs 29:15; 29:17)

Titus 2:14-15 (15)These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority, Let no man despise thee.

* Matt. 5:22-To call on a fool in the context of saying they are hopeless of salvation is not what we are called to do. Many unlearned Christians that have lived a sheltered life like to believe that a Christian should Just be someone who goes around telling everyone "Jesus loves you" while hindering the other gifts and tactics of Christianity. The fact is (Spiritual Israel) the Kingdom has a growing enemy (Eph.6:10-19). When the good do nothing the enemy wins. God likes can do people, that take up their crosses. Some have no reguard for truth and take pleasure in wickedness. Kindness is taken for weakness among these people. Love is the 1st Christian tactic and is to be used with all tactics of a Christian.

A true Christian can honestly say that they hate no one and are quick to forgive. Christians are concerned for all and would like to see all grow closer to YHVH. After kindness fails, when try to discern ourselves from such people, when that fails, Rebuke is called for and Christ gave us power over our enemies. More than anything, the Sword of truth is the weapon of choice.

Faith without works is dead.

 

Jas.2:15-16
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? (stress the need to bear fruits met for repentance)

(We often need a push in the right direction. I for one have learned alot of things the hard way. Many spirits are needful of a wake up call/ When the two olive trees(witnesses) are at work they will be hated by the masses, because they dont come to pamper, but rather with HARSH WARNING. (Matt.10:34) 

We should never enable or encourage evil.

2 John 1:10-11.If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Lev.19:17-Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.. 
We are told God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34/ Deut.16:19/ 2 Chron.19:7/ Rom.2:11/ Eph.6:9/ Col.3:25/ 1 Peter 1:17) when it comes to his will & neither should we when it comes to his word(truth).( James 2:9/ Proverbs 24:23/ Proverbs 28:21)

2nd Peter 2:21-For it had been better for them not to have known the way of rightiousness, than, after they have known it , to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. (The truth is a mighty weapon) 2nd Tim.4:2 

* A wise man embraces edification(Prov.9:8).(Prov.13:1(8)-A wise son heareth instruction yet a scorner heareth not rebuke.Vs. 8 is speaking of spiritual riches!(Prov.27:5&6)

One should be sure rebuke is called for before using it. You do not rebuke a child of God without reason, unless you want extreme effects to follow! So before pointing scripture at someone and proclaiming they are a false shepherd do your homework!

 

Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
